Environmentally Friendly Laundry Service – A First For The Industry

As the next step in our Environmental Programme, at London Workwear we launched our EkoChef Range. This unique chef uniform consists of EkoChef Jackets, Trousers and Aprons that are all made from recycled plastic bottles and waste polyester fibre. This range is comfortable, fit for purpose and has huge environmental benefits. These are available at the same price as our standard chefswear. London Workwear Rental is the UK’s most environmentally friendly laundry service. We are committed to ensuring that sustainability is at the top of our agenda, along with providing customers with excellent customer service. We have an Environmental Policy that we closely adhere to and an Environmental Improvement Team chaired by our Managing Director who meet regularly to discuss ongoing environmental improvements and innovations. We continually make improvements to our processes and procedures – ranging from equipment in our factory, packaging used, waste disposal and delivery transport routes. We are proud to be Listed Suppliers for the Sustainable Restaurant Association and we were honoured to achieve runner up status for two Footprint Awards that recognise achievements in sustainability within the hospitality industry – the ‘Sustainable Use of Natural Resources Award’ and the ‘Corporate Social & Environmental Responsibility Award’.
