Sustainability

As part of our continuous improvement strategy, and building on the foundations of our sustainability programme, we have become the first laundry to achieve a closed loop textile recycling process for our entire supply chain.

Our Innovation

  • We now recycle all of our textile waste at one location regardless of its composition
  • We have created a fully secured end of life supply chain for our customers’ garments
  • The process is completely sustainable & eco friendly
  • Our customers’ will incur no additional costs
  • We have partnered with high street giant Marks & Spencer in the industry’s first ever combined closed loop recycled relationship
  • With their ‘Plan A’ & our sustainable credentials we work very well together – the relationship is mutually exclusive & commercially sound
  • Our waste is recycled into the ‘Bag for Life Challenge’ for M&S. These bags are available across 728 M&S stores nationwide
  • We are able to raise substantial funds for charity – every bag sold raises money for UNICEF & displays their branding. It is hoped initially the contribution will be in excess of £90,000
  • The innovation will continue with further phases which include the development of new products to our existing range
  • We were runner-up in the ACE Sustains Corporate Award with the work on this initiative
